Key Requirements:
Major Duties: As Budget Analyst, you will research, compile, and summarize data concerning personnel salaries and expenses and similar object class and line item information and formulates the annual budget estimates, work plans and Interagency Support Agreements (ISA). Select and enter budgetary information on a variety of related forms, schedules, and reports. Monitor and track obligations and expenditures throughout the execution phase of the annual operating budget and verify that they occur per the annual work plan and regulatory controls and are within funding limitations; report variations in excess of accepted funding limitations and recommend transfer of funds needed to cover increases. Check the accuracy and adequacy of budget justification data. Prepare data summaries for inclusion in routine and special reports on budget execution. Tabulate cost data on individual projects. Manage the Defense Travel System (DTS). Serve as Battalion Agency Program Coordinator for Credit Card Program.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: This position requires one year of specialized experience, directly related to the occupation, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service which demonstrates the following:
(1) Knowledge and application of the principles, practices and methods of budget formulation and execution;
(2) Skill in reviewing, editing, and consolidating budget estimates;
(3) Knowledge of basic statistical formulas as it applies to budgetary data;
AND
(4) Skill in identifying, categorizing, and analyzing quantitative data.
-OR- Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related; or equivalent combinations of experience and education. ***More than one vacancy may be filled from this announcement***
